Too much time was lost in the discussion that Holland Casino started about not letting members of the Workers Committee take part in the delegations of the three unions involved.

The largest union, Vakbond ABC (founded by the casino workers) demands a 4% pay increase for one year, De Unie wants 3,5% for 15 months and FNV Bondgenoten asks for 3,5% per year over a period of two years.

Holland Casino is using the Smoking Ban, starting on July 1, and a tax rise on the slot machines as an excuse for offering 0% as a start. After two rounds of bargaining the company was offering about 3%( off the record) and two days later the offer was taken back.



On May 4, which is a memorial day for the victims of war, the casinos have always been closed out of respect for those who gave their lives for freedom and democracy. Now the Workers Committee of Holland Casino has not been able to stop the company from opening the casinos on May 4 from this year on. This means an extra day of work, for which Holland casino refuses to compensate.

ABC has a meeting scheduled for April 2 and the next round of bargaining with Holland Casino is on April 3.
