UNI-Europa Finance’s initiative is based on the provisions of the EWC Directive (and similar for SEs) concerning the right of employees to call meetings whenever exceptional circumstances seriously affect their interests.



The decision was taken during a phone conference by UNI-Europa Finance's Presidium, trade union leaders representing 1.5 million workers in banks and insurance companies in Europe.
