The event was an initiative of IPSO, the union in the European central bank, in favour of a balanced and professional social dialogue which respects the legitimate interests of staff. IPSO believes in an approach to corporate governance where the ECB, as an employer, honours its commitments.



"ECB staff deserves to be treated fairly and honestly," said IPSO. "The ECB, as a central bank and a key international institution, must preserve its credibility in that regard."



"Regrettably, we have meanwhile received confirmation that the ECB Executive Board refuses to negotiate with IPSO."
