The CEP has complained to the Canada Labour Board of threats against workers and intimidation by telecommunications company, Bell.



The union began an organising initiative at Bell Mobility call centre in Mississauga last November, which employs over 1,500 people. Since that time, the union says that managers have made a “concerted, public and overt effort to eliminate and prevent members of the inside Organizing Committee from communicating with other employees during non-working hours.”



Three Bell Mobility employees who have been actively campaigning for the union at the workplace have been suspended since the campaign began. Another senior employee was questioned about his union activity and warned to “behave properly in the future”.



A hearing has been scheduled for Jul, but the CEP is requesting that the Board issue an interim order directing Bell Mobility to cease its violations of the Code and allow employees to freely organise
