The youth of UNI-Africa says that it wants its voice to be heard in the African trade union movement. “We have a voice, use us”, says Gora Ronia of CWU in South Africa.

These words are a good reflection of the feeling of the young unionists who attended the 2^nd regional conference which took place in Hammamet, Tunisia.

To ensure that their voice is heard, they have decided to publish a monthly information bulletin and to develop a network to share experiences, talk about their successes, and address the difficulties that are common to youth in every country.

They also resolved to work with their more senior colleagues in order to create a climate of constructive cooperation for the good of a trade union movement that succeeds in bringing together all the dynamic forces in society.

They asked UNI-Africa and affiliated trade unions to help them get their message across because “young people are best placed to propose solutions for the problems facing youth”.
