General strike Saturday 27/02: First warning !



Following the announcement of the Carrefour restructuring, workers make their voices heard!

Contrary to Carrefour’s declarations, it is the sustainability of the entire company that is at stake. Once again, we feel that the management want to make the Belgium Carrefour to look as much attractive as possible before selling all or part.



NO TO PALLIATIVE CARE FOR ITS STAFF AND CARREFOUR



Removing 48 Carrefour stores (20 forwarded to Mesdagh, 21 closures, 7 franchises) means waiting for a slow death of the group ! For 10 years, we demand a relevant business plan. We want a "drastic remedy", a commercially ambitious plan to relaunch Carrefour (integrated), not once again a cost cutting plan at the expenses of staff.



NO TO SOCIAL DUMPING



Carrefour cannot do social dumping. The discussion on coverage of the Collective bargaining agreements will be in consultation with the sector, as it was decided some time ago, in the coming weeks based on the Sector collective agreement.



RELIABLE AND COMPETENT NEGOTIATORS!



HR and business leaders of Carrefour have shown in recent years their incompetence and disregard for staff. They made a holdup at the expense of workers and the Belgian state. We want real negotiators to turn to the negotiation table, competent and trustworthy. We want that the central group management assume their responsibilities in this matter since it was them who endorsed this restructuring.



To express our claims, we declare a general strike for 24 hours on Saturday 27/02/10. Until then we support all other spontaneous actions.
