Today, UNI Europa and its European social partner for the Private Security Sector CoESS, launched an exciting new practical information tool for both workers and employers wanting to move/operate in another European country. The one year project funded by the European Commission has resulted in the creation of a Mobility Toolkit for the European Private Security Sector.
The Mobility Toolkit includes country fact sheets for all the EU Member States, Candidate Countries (Croatia, Macedonia and Turkey) and Norway, Switzerland and Serbia. It provides private security workers with key information on the working conditions, the national minimum wage and fundamental employment protection rights in the country they are considering moving to as well as details of the relevant UNI Europa affiliated trade unions in the sector.
Rachel Owens, the UNI Europa Policy Officer for Property Services said, 'This is a very good example of how European Social Dialogue can produce practical and useful outcomes to the benefit of our members and the wider European community. These fact sheets were created with considerable input from UNI Europa and CoESS affiliates cooperating at a national level. We strongly encourage our members to disseminate this information widely both internally to their members and externally to their relevant national, regional and local stakeholders.'
A dedicated website has been created for the UNI Europa / CoESS Mobility Toolkit.
