The National Federation of Post and Telecommunications, UNI Post & Logistics affiliate in Morocco, conducted for a week large-scale actions against the Management of Poste Maroc. The reasons for this social tension were basically the refusal by the Postal Administration to involve the union in the process of launching tables for promotions for rank & file workers on the basis of seniority of 2008 and the use of subjective criteria changed unilaterally by the Directorate General.
Given this irregular procedure, the union launched protest actions of 17 to 23 March 2011 which included a strike and sit-ins in Parliament, the Headquarter of Post and the Ministry of Industry, Trade and New Technologies.
These actions have involved more than 2,500 postal workers across the Moroccan territory.
Given this determination of the workers, and given the strong commitment FNPT, negotiations were launched March 26, 2011 as with social partners, the union, the Ministers of Interior and Industry and the Directorate Group General Post Morocco
Following negotiations, an agreement was signed containing the following:
1) A schedule of completion of additional scales for the years 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 which aims to repair the damage to career staff position Morocco
2) Integration of postmen postmistress and with university degrees in computer science or appropriate scales
3) The increase in salaries for IT professionals
4) The commitment of the union Morocco not to undertake the planned 10-day strike
5) The commitment of Morocco to abolish all legal and action administrative against the striking workers
6) The application of all previous agreements signed with the union
