UNI Europa Youth held its first winter school in Stockholm in April 2011 where 16 participants took part in the advanced school.

Topics such as European Social Dialogue, European Works Councils , OECD Guidelines, Global Compact were discussed. The school was tutored by Jean-Claude Le Douaron an Education Officer from the ETUI.

The course received good feedback from the participants and the good atmosphere amongst the participants made it successful school.

The summer schools for the introductory level will continue but it was recognised that these advanced schools should continue in the future. The young workers require the opportunities to be trained in the higher level trade union work to progress in their unions.
