More communication, integration and joint union action

 These were the conclusions of a meeting between private security unions in Uruguay, Brazil, Chile and Colombia who met in Montevideo, Uruguay on November 23 and 24. The unions agreed to further action with respect to internal and external communication and visibility to the problems faced by these workers who are exposed to poor working conditions in their jobs and risk their lives daily.



The participants also shared positive experiences in terms of union growth and responses to campaigns for human and union rights violations.



UNI and its affiliates will continue working to strengthen networks and achieve union global agreements with multinational companies that have not yet signed.
