UNI H&B Conference was held on 12-13 January in Brussels. The sector’s President, Poul Monggaard, and the Vice President, François Laurent, were re-elected for a new term.

The meeting had a full agenda. The participants discussed social dialogue achievements, and outlined future plans. The President talked about the European Hairdressing Certificate implementation, and presented its website.



UNI Europa Regional Secretary, Oliver Roethig, attended the meeting. He talked mostly about organizing in Eastern European countries, and specifically in the hairdressing and beauty sectors.



The host union, CSC BIE, gave a presentation on the information tools they use to organize more workers. CSC BIE invited participants to a reception and a presentation on training at ASBL COACH, a vocational school in Brussels.
