Women's access to decisions making positions must now be a reality!
Women of Africa, arise!
For us to be many attending meetings, arise!
For that very masculine culture of the union to change, arise!
To reduce the wage gap, arise!
So that more women are trained and promoted, arise!
The facts are bitter.
After 12 years of work, we still have less than 15% of women presidents or general secretaries of the unions. It is too little. Meanwhile, we note that some women are in the process of upward union gradually.
Women's committees supposed to be a stepping stone did not play their full role.
The implementation of our action plan is the logbook for more democracy in the union,
Our struggle cannot be done without us. It cannot be won without us.
Therefore, we need to stimulate greater involvement and promote in all areas of decision in all instances of employee representation, equal work and equal pay between women and men.
- Recruit and train more women in especially in multinationals and particularly train young women
- Create and / or enhance spaces for reflection to overcome cultural barriers to equality in the workplace, to recognize the value of women's work
- Facilitate, together with men, management of professional, family, union life.
- Adapt our response in terms of gender parity and open ourselves to other women. That will strengthen our workforce and weigh on the decisions and union demands.
- Represent our union wherever we are.
With the involvement of all of us, we will achieve it.
