UNI affiliates from all over Africa will be joining comrades in the UNI Africa Regional Conference in Nairobi. Amongst them will be unions from the Security Sector who have had a year of action and activity with new Projects and new targets being set. They will attend a Security Organizing Course and later a Security Sector Forum to look at issues of net working and Global Agreements.

Amongst them will be NATAU, the Namibian union which has recorded over 1,000 new members. Their 2 Organizers will be presenting at a session on their activities and successes in gaining recognition.

The Ghanian union UPSP will also be there represented by their General Secretary Ebeneezer Mensah who has been th evictim of a recent court case against him by a Security Company. They are about to launch their own Organizing Project.

Pride of place will go the Kenyan trade union KNPSWU who started their organizing project in July and already have 200 paid up new members.
