The election of the new president was completed during the 17th Executive Committee Meeting held in Bangkok, Thailand 30th August 2013. Changes in the position of UNI Apro Deputy President, UNI Apro Vice President, UNI Vice President for UNI Apro, and President of UNI Apro Women were also approved and recorded during the meeting as follows.
As proposed by Joe De Bruyn, UNI President, the UNI Apro Executive Committee records its deepest appreciation to Tomoyasu Kato for his immense contributions to UNI Apro.
At the solidarity dinner reception organised by UNI TLC, outgoing UNI Apro President Kato was presented with farewell gifts from UNI TLC President Niliamol and Regional Secretary Christopher Ng, who thanked him for his dedication, contribution and service towards the work of UNI Apro.
The symbolic bell representing UNI Apro’s leadership was also handed over from outgoing President Kato to the incoming President Ohmi to wish him a successful tenure as President.
Guests were then treated to a night of spectacular entertainment including the ‘Blessing Dance’, a performance dedicated to Kato and Ohmi.
