UNI Global Union is celebrating after securing a new Global Framework Agreement with Indosat, one of Indonesia's largest telecommunication networks and services provider.

The agreement, signed in Hanoi, is the 11th Global Framework Agreement reached in the UNI Apro region and the fourth in Indonesia. A Global Framework Agreement, or GFA, is an agreement between a multinational company and a global union in order to establish an ongoing relationship that ensures the company respects the same working standards in all the countries in which it operates.

Indosat is ownd by Qatar-based telecommunications provider Ooredoo, which has operations around the Middle East, North Africa and Asia, including Myanmar.

Alan Tate, Head of UNI ICTS said, “We’re delighted to have signed this agreement with Indosat and we welcome the company’s contribution and commitment to improving the lives of its workers.”
