At UNI's head office in Nyon, Switzerland, UNI and FES discussed their plans for future collaborative action with the hope of building upon an already fruitful relationship. In 2011, UNI and FES will be working together to strengthen union activities around the globe. During the meeting, both UNI and FES stressed the importance of focusing their actions to achieve tangible results. The Middle East and North Africa region (MENA), currently in a state of flux, received particular attention in the discussions.





Later in the day, UNI met with FES representatives from a number of countries in the Asia-Pacifica region. Leaders of UNI SCORE, UNI Post & Logistics and UNI Commerce introduced their guests to the Breaking Through Strategy and specific projects in each respective UNI sector. In return, the FES representatives informed UNI of labour-related issues that currently exist in their countries. UNI looks forward to working more closely with its colleagues in the region to promote their common goals.
