According to Hellmail, « Royal Mail and the Communication Workers have managed to find the basis of an agreement to improve industrial relations and see continued modernisation of the distribution of letters. It is hoped the agreement will see approval by the union's postal executive committee before a final vote by union members”.



“The agreement is aimed at putting an end to strike action which has seen the loss of key contracts and damage to Royal Mail's reputation. It also forms the basis of a plan designed to improve working conditions and provide incentives for employees. A four-year pay deal is said to be a key part of the agreement.”
