UNI has concluded a global agreement with Portugal Telecom which reaffirms ILO conventions and core labour standards, the agreement will be officially signed by the CEO of Portugal Telecom and UNI General Secretary, Philip Jennings along with Portuguese affiliates.



This will be the first (of many) global agreements in 2006.



UNI Telecom’s first global agreement was signed with Telefónica in 2001 and another agreement with OTE was signed in 2002. Currently, negotiations are underway with Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom and TeliaSonera for global agreements in the telecom sector.
