Recently Head of UNI post & Logistics, Neil Anderson, was visiting Japan when elections were called for the Upper House of the Japanese Parliament. UNI Post & Logistics affiliate, JPGU, are throwing all their support behind Namba San, a previous President of the union, and who is a candidate in the election. Neil was impressed by the efforts being put in by JPGU to get Namba elected. The issue of privatisation of Japan Post is a real issue at this election and JPGU hope Namba will be elected so he can bring a real voice of understanding of the postal industry to the Japanese Parliament.
