A memorandum of settlement has been signed between the State Bank of India Staff Federation and the management in respect of career progression of clerical and support staff of the bank.Senior Special Assistant grades have been created for the first time in the bank. Clerical and support staff have been promoted in to the grade with additional job responsibilities. Bank has also agreed to pay a fuel allowance for the Senior Special Assistant staff for the first time in the history of State Bank of India.Bank has also increased the quantum of the entertainment allowance paid to Senior Special Assistant staff under the settlement.
