Following the protest of January 29^th, seven French unions (CFDT, CFE/CGC, CFTC, CGT, FO, SUD, UNSA) from five IT companies (HP, EDS, IBM, BULL, ILOG) decided to come together for a national action day on March 19^th. Under the slogan “We got the crises, they got the profits, ENOUGH!” protests have been organized in several cities across the country (Paris, Grenoble, Lyon and others) to defend the jobs and salaries of IT workers.



Unions at SSII T-Systems also took part in the demonstration and asked for more training and job security while unions at Atos Integration and Capgemini demanded more efforts from the government to curb the crisis that is hurting many IT employees. Workers from the consulting group Altran also went down the streets since their firm announced some employees will suffer part-time unemployment soon. As for the telecom side, unions at France Telecom reclaimed an increase of minimum wages in the sector.
