5th UNI Apro Graphical & Packaging Conference, 11-13 September 2017, Fukushima
The UNI Apro Graphical and Packaging held its 5th conference jointly with the 2nd UNI Apro MEI sector in Fukushima, Japan on 11-13 September 2017. Over 40 delegates and observers were in attendance.
The conference saw the participants discussing what the new digital era would mean for the graphical and packaging sector especially with regard to organising and representation of workers. They also looked at ways to develop future workforce strategies to maintain employability and decent working conditions of G&P workers as well as how to better inculcate social partnership relations to manage adjustments at the enterprise and industry levels.
The conference delegates adopted the Strategic Action Program for the G&P sector for the period 2017-2021 which was introduced by Bro Rajendra K Acharya, Director for UNI Apro Graphical and Packaging. They also re-elected Sis Lorraine Cassin as the President of UNI Apro Graphical and Packaging for the next four years.
