ICTS

Organising and Campaigns

UNI ICTS works with unions around the world to ensure that workers in the telecommunications and IT industries can actively exercise their fundamental rights to form a union and bargain collectively. UNI ICTS holds global framework agreements with some of the largest employers in the world to guarantee these rights to employees. In addition, UNI ICTS has supported organising drives in Africa, Americas and the Asia-Pacific regions.

Current Campaigns

UNI ICTS is currently supporting organising in a number of Africa countries including Niger, Kenya, Madagascar, DR Congo and Guinea-Biussau. Many of these campaigns are at France Telecom (Orange) with whom UNI has a Global Agreement.

UNI ICTS supports organising efforts by a number of affiliates in the Americas at companies such as T-Mobile (Deutsche Telekom), America Movil and Atento.

In the Asia Pacific region we are supporting campaigns in Thailand, Bangladesh, Nepal, Malaysia and India.

In Europe we are focused particularly on growing unions in the Baltic states and Central and Eastern Europe.

Call Centre Action Month

Held during the month of October, Call Centre Action Month highlights the problems faced by call centre workers around the globe. These problems include stress, performance management, health and safety, low pay, professionalism, and outsourcing and off shoring. Dozens of ICTS affiliates take part in the various Call Centre Action Month events.
