Outcomes of the UNI Finance “Austerity vs Growth” Global Workshop held in Tokyo, Japan, in June 2013 was released in a booklet by Masakazu Tahara UNI Apro Finance President during the UNI Finance Action Week meetings  held 27-30 October 2014,  in Nyon.

UNI Finance World Steering Group, tasked, 4 working groups to device a work plan on four key strategic areas; Financial Regulations; Corporate Social Responsibility; Organising to increase trade union density in finance sector and on Communications. Global working groups are expected to draw up  plan of actions, activities to the next UNI Finance World Conference scheduled to be held in 2015.

Over 120 trade union leaders representing finance industry, across the regions participated at the events. A joint session on Structural Reforms & Shadow Banking was held with the participation of the Deputy Secretary General of the Financial Stability Board [FSB] and European Banking Federation, ITUC/TUAC was also held in conjunction with the UNI Finance Meetings in UNI HQ Nyon.

A contingent of finance industry trade unions from Asia participated in the UNI Finance events; including Catherine Jikunan and K C Ganesh UNI Finance World Steering Group  members representing Asia.
