Homecare worker tells Democratic National Convention: “We are fighting for 15 because no working family should be forced into poverty”

Ivey told the DNC about her experience of making $8.50/hour, whilst providing a fundamental, essential service. Ivey also endorsed Hillary Clinton, who met with home care providers last summer and heard the calls for a ‪revolution in the care sector. 

SEIU International President Mary Kay Henry took the opportunity to pay tribute to the Fight for 15 campaign and all those fighting to win economic and social justice.
