UNI Welcomes New Director of UNI Apro Post & Logistics

After 16 years of service to UNI Apro and the former PTTI, Bro. Eichi Ito is ending his time with the UNI Apro office to take up his retirement. Bro. Ito has been a force in the global trade union world for decades and he’s dedicated the last 16 years in particular to strengthening post and logistics unions in the Asia and Pacific region. 

As the UNI family wishes Ito a long and happy retirement, we are pleased to welcome our new Director for Post and Logistics in the Asia and Pacific Region, Sister Kanako Osaki. Osaki joins us after previously having worked for the Japan Post Group Union and as first secretary at the Japanese embassy in Beijing. In addition to her native Japanese, she speaks English, German and Chinese. Her appointment begins 1 April and she will join many affiliates in the region just a few days later at an organizing forum for the sector focused on growing the strength of P&L unions in the region
