The Swedish Confederation for Professional Employees, TCO, today launched its latest video ‘Business Like A Swede’, giving new impetus to collective agreements and trade union rights.

UNI Global Union General Secretary, Philip Jennings said, “Like a Swede is a cool way of showing that business has lots to gain from building solid relations with unions and its workforce.  The Swedish Parts Model has plenty of what today’s youth calls ‘swag’ but has actually been around for 70 years. The message they are rapping out is that collective bargaining stabilises economies, promotes growth and a fair share of wealth: it’s a message for the US Chamber of Commerce and employers everywhere. That’s swag!”

The Swedish Parts Model is based on a partnership between employers and unions. The model is based on right to join unions, having a say on the job and collective bargaining geared at raising the quality of life across the board not just the few.
