On 3rd September, 2014, UNI Bangladesh Liaison Council (UNIBLC) organized a re-launch of the Women's Committee meeting at BRAC Center, 75, Mohakhali, Dhaka. 
 
Bro. Pav Akhtar, Director of UNI Professionals & Managers (UNI P&M) and Bro. Jayasri Priyalal, UNI Apro Regional Director for Finance sector and P&M were also present.
They talked over their belief in women to have a fundamental role to play in building strong and inclusive society as well as a just productive workplace and appreciated to see UNIBLC leaders to pledge to assist their sisters. They imparted valuable guidelines for women members.
After Sis. Taslima Akhtar Lina, UNIBLC Women Committee President reported on the women activities from 2006 to 2014, Bro. Mostafa Kamal, UNIBLC Executive Secretary proposed to re-launch the women committee. Sis. Adeeba Zerin Chowdhury and Sis. Taslima Akhtar Lina were appointed as pro-tem President and General Secretary until the UNIBLC Women Conference will be held near future in a suitable time inviting all affiliates.
 
The women activists from various sectors are very enthusiastic in working together to represent women workers' interests in UNIBLC.
