The Caribbean Congress of Labour held their 18th Triennial Congress in Bahamas on 21-25 October 2013.The Congress theme “Re organising CCL to Confront a Changing Global and Regional Economic Environment” was explored at a pre-conference workshop by the 40 delegates attending the event.Opening remarks were made by Sen. David Mossiah, President of CCL and Hon D Shane Gibson, Minister of Labour & National Insurance also addressed the Congress.

Trade union leaders from throughout the region were in attendance.
Countries represented were: Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, Windward Islands, Guyana, Dominica, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago and St. Lucia. There were also representatives from Cuba and China.

Several significant issues and concerns of Caribbean Labour were identified for CCL action and attention during the discussions and presentations of the Congress.
