Metro Cash & Carry opens whole-sale center in southeastern Vietnam

This is the ninth self-service wholesale center of Metro Cash & Carry in Vietnam. Metro Cash & Carry entered the Vietnamese market in 2002 and with the opening of Metro Bien Hoa, the company once more emphasizes its long-term commitment to Vietnam.

On average, each new cash & carry wholesale center is an investment of 20 million Euros.
The grand opening ceremony of Metro Bien Hoa – Dong Nai is an immense and memorable accomplishment. More than five hundred valued guests from the central government, the local governments of Dong Nai province as well as customers and suppliers attended the inauguration ceremony. H.E. Mr. Hoang Trung Hai, the Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam Government graced the occasion with his presence as the Chief Guest.
The wholesale center opens from 06:00 AM to 09:00 PM, seven days a week and will offer professional customers of Dong Nai province a wide assortment of more than 35,000 food and non-food products. With the total sales area of about 8,000 square meters, and 95 percent of the goods procured in Vietnam, Metro Bien Hoa will help small and medium-sized companies from the city of Bien Hoa – Dong Nai as well as the entire southeast region to enhance their own business. 270 new jobs will be created by the center.
The cash & carry wholesale concept is tailored to the special needs of professional customers who are hotel and restaurant operators, caterers, small and independent retailers, institutions and service firms. More than 500,000 business customers in Vietnam are buying at Metro. The company offers them a huge and qualified assortment and services at the most competitive prices.
