Yesterday a delegation from the federation which Tez-Koop-IS belongs to Türk-IS went to Tesco Kipa HQ to deliver letters of support to the company. The letters were asking the company to respect the findings of the Ministry of labour and refrain from appealing the findings. In the end the delegation didn't meet with management but was succesful in delivering the letters to Tesco Kipa.

Following the decision last week by the Turkish Ministry of Labour that Tez-Koop-IS is the union to be recognised several unions have actively shown their support for the UNI Commerce affiliate. Tez-Koop-IS is now representing more than 50% of the total workforce in Tesco Kipa which is UK based retailer Tesco's Turkish branch.
