Around 30 trade union officials and members from temporary employment agencies (Adecco, Manpower, Randstad, Start People, B-Bridge) from Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal and Spain gathered in the Elewijt (Belgium) conference centre on January 28-29. The workshop is organised by UNI Europa TAW as a part of the EC funded project aiming to promote European Works Councils in the TAW sector.



Participants heard a presentation from Bruno Demaître (ETUI) on the EWC recast directive. Claudia Saller (UNI Europa EWC Coordinator) spoke on trade union perspective on EWCs and presented the UNI Europa EWC Guidelines.



Later participants were be able to hear reports from Adecco, Randstad and Manpower employees' alliances meetings as well as to discuss the issues of information and consultation in working groups.
