In a the near future, a number of Denmarks key IT systems for Tax, Police, SAS, CPR, Codan, Tryg and TDC will be seriously affected by a large scale labor dispute.



That threat looms of CSC customer after the IT professionals' union PROSA on Friday terminated the peace agreement with IT giant CSC. The union is preparing for a strike of up to 400 CSC employees, who handlesome of the major governmental and private computer systems in the country.

CSC management requires that PROSA’s 700 members who represent a third of staff at CSC, accepts a series of cut backs in terms of working hours, holidays and salaries equivalent to a decline in real wages of 30 percent.



PROSA is upset about CSC’s response. Serious negotiations had been offered and concessions had been indicated. But unfortunately, it is CSC’s leadership who has categorically rejected the proposal.



‘An arbitrator could not persuade CSC management to negotiate a new agreement’ says PROSA’s Vice President Hanne Lykke Jespersen.



‘A conflict on such a large scale will be a very serious situation for CSC. It remains our hope that we can spare the company, employees and customers any hardship, but it requires management to depart from their demands and return to the negotiating table’ she added.
