The PGFTUdemanded ratification of a minimum wage and the confirmation of a social justice and protection system for the workers .



In a report to UNI, the PGFTU said General Secretary Shaher Sae’d led the demonstration to support the workers in their demands. Many of the executive members of the PGFTU, heads of the unions, women's committees from all regions in Palestine and members of legislative council joined the protest.



Sa’ed urged Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to support the implementation of a minimum wage and a social justice and protection system to ensure workers, especially working women, are not being exploited.



In front of the Palestinian Legislative Council building Sae’d said the PGFTU will continue to collect signatures from workers on a minimum wage petition. The goal is to collect at least half a million signatures.
