“The workers of T-Mobile here in Long Island have decided to sign union cards. I’m here to verify that those cards have been signed by the workers,” Jennings said. “I’m going to take the message to the world that because of the people here we’re going organise T-Mobile in the rest of this country.”



Workers explained that they after years of helping build T-Mobile in the US they simply want a fair deal with the company and the believe union representation will help them get that. That’s why they’ve signed cards to join the Communications Workers of America.



While signing union cards would be enough in many countries, including T-Mobile parent Deutche Telekom’s home country Germany, T-Mobile has hired notorious “union avoidance” expert Peter Conrad to delay the legal proceedings and thwart the drive.



The worldwide union movement is supporting the effort by T-Mobile USA workers to gain full organising and bargaining rights. Workers have spoken with a strong voice for their union rights.
