UNI affiliate Histadrut has announced the signing of a `historical`agreement with Cleaning Companies Organization in Israel. The agreement will bring improvements in wages, working conditions and pensions for Cleaners employed in the private sector to bring them in line with those that exist in the public sector. Specifically the framework agreement will give the Cleaners seniority increments, a study fund, convalescence pay, subsidized meals, paid holidays, work clothes and travel expenses.



Avi Nissenkorn from Histadrut said `The Histadrut works day and night to strengthen all workers regardless of their workplace` and the Chair of the CCO employer`s organization said `This agreement corrects the built in deprivation that existed with regard to those who are employed in th eCleaning sector for many years`.
