BKF Urges Anti-Union Policies to be Stopped

During the opening of the conference, Christopher Ng – Regional Secretary of UNI Apro has expressed the solidarity from the international trade unions and wished for the success of the conference. Similarly, Sharan K.C. - Regional Coordinator of the SASK Finland and other distinguished speakers from the different organisations has appreciated the BKF initiative and reiterated their commitment for the support.

The two days conference was well attended by the major national trade union centres, UNI BLC and their affiliates, including the youth and women committees and the Bangladesh Institute of Labour studies (BILS).

The Conference deliberated on the thematic paper presented by BILS - a research based labour institute and adopted a plan of action for the lobby, campaign, networking and alliance, capacity building and empowerment activities to be carried out in the future.
